God's philanthropy

by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf

"But when the kindness and love of God [philanthropia] our Saviour for man appeared, He saved us" (Titus 3:4-5).

The philanthropist is literally the friend of the human race, he who loves all men. God has shown His goodness and philanthropy with Jesus Christ through the salvation because of His compassion and grace.

Jesus Christ was able to spread his Holy Spirit abundantly over men in order to make them reborn and to restore them. This restoration causes us to be just in order to inherit the eternal Life, in which we have placed our hope. God did not send Jesus into the world to judge men, but to save them (John 3:17).
