My words are Spirit and life by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words [rhema] I have spoken to you – they are full of the Spirit and life [zoe]" (John 6:63 NIV). As far as eternal life 'zoe' is concerned, the flesh is useless. So, human words derived from our flesh, cannot produce eternal life. Only words inspired by the Breath of God have the capacity to produce that life. The words Jesus spoke to His disciples are the very words of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, His breath. These are the 'rhema' words which today continue to bring forth eternal life. This is the reason why those who believe in the words which Jesus spoke, receive this eternal life. |
