Worshipping in spirit and truth by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf "God is Spirit, and worshippers worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24). We must receive the truth (Jesus is the truth John 14:6) in order to walk in an upright way (dwelling in the truth John 8:31-32) and we must be born again (born of the Holy Spirit John 3:6) to be able to truly worship God. New birth happens when we accept Jesus-Christ as our Saviour; then the Holy Spirit comes to restore life to our spirit, thus re-establishing contact with God. Worship is then the union of our spirit with the Spirit of God. |
