He opens the ears of men

by Jean-Louis Coraboeuf

"Then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction" (Job 33:16).

A characteristic of the man who takes the wrong path is to be deaf to divine discipline. Then God speaks to him once, twice (sometimes in one way, sometimes in another), in a dream, in a vision (Job 33:14-15) ... but man does perceive it.

Then, in His goodness, God uses a messenger for him, "a mediator, one among a thousand, to show man His uprightness" (Job 33:23). God has compassion on the man who goes astray, that's why He uses a messenger to warn him.
