The precious dew from heaven

"About Joseph he said: May the Lord bless his land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below" (Deuteronomy 33:13 NIV).

Dew is a blessing in such a climate like that of Israel. It allows plants to grow during the morning hours with growth seven times greater than that of the afternoon.

Just as plants need the dew to grow in an often hostile environment, we need the Word of God each morning. This is essential for our spiritual growth and allows us to face the hostilities of the day.
