Those who have cauterised conscience

"But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in latter times [kairos] some shall apostatise from the faith, giving their mind to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, cauterised [kauteriazo] as to their own conscience" (1 Timothy 4:1-2 Darby).

The Greek word kauteriazo means 'to cauterise', 'to burn with an iron', 'to sear with a hot iron'; according to the dictionary, to cauterise is to burn a body tissue using an instrument heated to high temperature, and in the spiritual world it is 'to make insensitive'.

The Holy Spirit tells us accurately that the more we approach latter times kairos of God, that is the second coming of Jesus Christ, the more we will see false teachings designed to deceive the elected ones (Matthew 24:24). Then Satan will use people with a conscience that have become insensitive to the Holy Spirit, to spread his lies.
